JLA Opal Giveaway and SWAG!!!

After I finished law school in December of 2011, I bought myself a Nook on eBay.  That purchase began a love affair with books and introduced me to a world of bloggers, readers, and endless book recommendations.  This year, I have read some amazing books by some pretty incredible authors.

One of these authors is Jennifer L. Armentrout.  I read the Lux series (Obsidian & Onyx) this summer and was hooked!  Then, I read the Covenant series, and was blown away.  Daemon and Aiden are at the top of my book boyfriend list.

Jennifer is getting ready to release book #3 in the Lux series on December 11, 2012.  After the way Onyx ended, I cannot wait to get my grubbies on this!  I absolutely love Katy and Daemon's relationship and endless banter.

Review: Losing it by Cora Carmack

5 Stars!!!!!
I absolutely adored this book!  I was snort laughing from the very beginning.  Bliss is a senior in college and....still a virgin *GASP* (I don't think that's a big deal, but apparently her friend did).  Bliss reluctantly gets all dolled up and heads out to club in hopes of landing a one-night stand.  In the process, she lands a Hot British Boy.

Hilarity (and hotness) ensues.

Holy freaking crap!!  I was so mortified for Bliss during this scene.  I couldn't put this book down.  I'm an angst addict and this book was filled with it!  So much drama and hot boys!!!!

If this book was made into a movie, here is my dream cast!

I had "Experiment in Terror" series on my to-read list on Goodreads for quite some time.  Admittedly, I read the first book, "Darkhouse," and was intrigued, but not completely hooked.  After the first book, I really liked Perry Palomino, and I thought she and Dex had great chemistry.  There was definitely something there.  I wasn't head-over-heals in love....YET.  I kept reading because everyone (specifically Maryse.net) kept raving about this series.

Well...

After "Red Fox" (book 2), I WAS HOOKED!!  After the "Dead Sky Morning" (book 3), I couldn't get enough.  After the "Lying Season" (book 4), I couldn't breathe.  After the "On Demon Wings" (book 5), I was pissed off (but in a good way) because the next book, "Into the Hollow", doesn't come out until October 23, 2012.   My anger was somewhat short-lived because Karina Halle wrote a book devoted to Dex's POV called "The Dex Files".  If you have read any of these books, you know how exciting this was for me.  Dex is a man of few words, so it was a treat (...ahem....yeah) to get inside his head (and also a little scary hot, at times).
